RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria


Age Limit and Educational Qualification: :

Minimum Age – 18 years and Maximum Age – 28 years

Assistant Loco Pilot: Matriculation / SSLC Plus ITI/ Course Completed Act Apprentices or Diploma/ Degree in Engineering.

Technicians: Matriculation/ SSLC Plus ITI / Course Completed Act Apprentices or 10 + 2 with Physics and Maths or Diploma in Engineering (As Applicable).

RRB ALP & Technician exam process will involve the following stages of examination:

The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to:

CBT Stage 1 :

Mathematics :

Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

General Intelligence and reasoning :

Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

General Science:

Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of the 10th standard level.

General awareness & current affairs:

Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics.

CBT Stage 2 :

Mathematics :

General awareness & current affairs:

Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics.

The part B of the Assistant Loco Pilot CBT 2 syllabus is a bit different from the other sections of the ALP Exam.

FAQ


Candidate can attend the exam, only in the exam language opted for in the online application and in English.
Candidates must bring their e- Call letters along with a valid Photo ID (viz. Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, printout of e-Aadhaar, Driving License, PAN card, Passport, Identity Card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a Govt.Employee, School / College / University Photo ID card etc. in ORIGINAL to the examination hall, failing which candidates shall NOT be allowed to appear for the CBT Candidates must also bring one colour photograph (of size 35mm x 45mm) which was uploaded in the application, for appearing in the CBT.

Age Limit is same for both RRB ALP and Technician Posts which are 18-28 years.

However, there is some relaxation for some categories as per the notification norms.
